HOW IT WORKS

Three things you'll do most days

Every screen below is from the app, on a demo account with sample data.

TRAIN

See last time. Beat it.

  1. Every set shows what you did last session. Tap it to fill in the same weight and reps, then adjust.
  2. Beat last time and the set is marked as a PR while you're still at the bench.
  3. Each lift gets a chart of your estimated one-rep max, so you can see the trend over a whole block.
Today's bench press sets: 210 lb for 6 and for 5, each marked PR beside last week's 205 for 6 and 205 for 5, with last week's 205 for 4 waiting on the next two sets.
Today's sets beside last week's, from the same demo account.
The Barbell Bench Press chart in Liftgeist: estimated one-rep max rising from 210 to 246 lb between July 13 and late September, 12 days logged, a change of plus 36.

EAT

Log a meal in a few taps.

  1. Search and the foods you've logged before come first, then USDA foods and branded products. Or scan a barcode.
  2. Or describe the meal or snap a photo and get an AI estimate. It's an estimate, and every value stays editable.
  3. Your calories, protein, carbs and fat for the day update against your targets.
The day's totals: 2,205 of 2,550 kcal, on track, 345 kcal left. Protein 181 of 185 g, carbs 243 of 265 g, fat 55 of 75 g.
The day's totals, from the same demo account.
Food search in Liftgeist for turkey: 95/5 ground turkey from the user's own log appears first at 200 g, 240 kcal, 44 g protein, followed by USDA turkey entries.

REVIEW

Your training, food and weight side by side.

  1. Strength, volume and consistency for the whole block, with your PRs.
  2. Average daily calories and protein next to the training, so a low-food week is easy to spot.
  3. Your weigh-in trend from your check-ins. Seeing them together helps you notice when the lifts stall while the scale moves, or the other way round.
The weigh-in card: 190.4 lb today, 0.3 lb down since the last check-in, with a trend line sloping down across 43 entries.
The weigh-in trend, from the same demo account.
The You screen in Liftgeist: 48 workouts, 967k lb lifted, a 12 week streak, then tiles for strength, PRs, weekly volume up 7 percent on the 4 week average, 4 training days a week, and fuel averaging 2,192 kcal a day, in band.

AI features such as photo and sentence estimates are included with a daily allowance. Liftgeist Pro adds the coach chat and extra style packs in the iPhone app.

Do I need an account?

No. As a guest, everything you log is saved in this browser on this device. It doesn't sync to other devices, and clearing your browser data removes it. Create a free account whenever you like and your guest log moves into it and syncs everywhere you sign in.

Can I bring my data, and take it with me?

You can upload a training plan as a PDF, a CSV or a photo, and import a food-log CSV, such as a MacroFactor export, on the web dashboard. Workout history from other apps can't be imported yet. Everything you log can be exported as JSON or CSV from the web dashboard with a free account.

Can I keep my current routine?

Yes. Log freestyle as you go, build your program day by day, pick one from the library, or upload the plan you already follow. Liftgeist doesn't change your plan without telling you.

What does Liftgeist Pro add, and what does it cost?
